Abstract:

Introduction: Ramadan is a special period of year that any Moslem had to go during fasting for one month. In healthy state there is a balance between psychic and bodily structure which is specific to each individual that distinct him from other people. Many researchers believed that neuroendocrine system maintain such balances. In this paper we have studied situation of neuroendocrin function in the pattern of cortisol secretion in Ramadan.Method & material: With above data we have selected 112 volunteers (80 mail & 32 female) after one month fasting in point's of cortisol Circadian Rhythm, and the results were compared to 8 patients with Cushing syndrome. We have checked these volunteers as the below: Weight, Height, Morning& Evening serum cortisol, CBC and 2mg Dexamethazone test (2mg every 6 house for 6 doses). Results: Although fasting during Ramadan did not promote obesity in healthy peoples, But in 20 volunteers, we found that evening cortisol raised to 18 mcg/dl it, that is not a serious problem and we think that this is an adaptation phenomenon. Conclusion: Since the endocrine system, which has broad-spectrum effects, control cellular and skeletal actions, the soundness of neuroendocrine system will be provided trough parasympathetic nerve (to control cathecoJamines, hypothalamohypophysis, endorphins and enkephalin) so we believed that this cortisol changes is due to adaptation phenomena to control emaciation in fasting people.

Abstract:

Uterine contractions are considerably more frequent in night in compare with day. Base on a research out of 39628 recorded contractions, 67% of them happened between 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. Base on this Circadian special Rhythm of uterine contractions, delivery frequency should more during night. Probably special Rhythm of uterine contractions and deliveries are due to oxytocin secretion. Since knowing the exact and precise frequency of deliveries and Circadian and yearly delivery Rhythm is important in many aspects (proper assigning of personnel and facilities for duty hours, precise determination of Circadian delivery Rhythm and correlation of various factors such as age of mother, parity, sex and weight of neonate , …) this research has been designed. For this purpose, for doing the research, we choose Zeinabiyeh Hospital which is the main Obs. and Gyn. Hospital in Shiraz and all present information were gathered and collected regarding normal delivery in 1998 which included 3868 cases of normal delivery. In total of deliveries 51.4% of cases were boy and 48.6% of cases were girl (ratio of boy to girl was 106:100). Mean weight of babies in this research was 3117±599 gram and mean age of mothers was 23.9±6.1 years. In 45% of cases, mother was primiparous. In 1% of total deliveries, twin and in 0.1% of cases were triple reports. Birth percentage in different seasons of year did not show any special differences but frequent deliveries were reported between 1:00 am to 8:00 am which was significantly more than 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 24:00 (p<0.00001). The peak of deliveries was at 3:00 am. Variants such as age of mother, parity, sex and weight of mother did not have any correlation with Circadian Rhythm. In this research it has been shown that Circadian Rhythm of normal deliveries has high frequency between 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (39%). Base on results of this research and similar researches done over frequency of delivery contractions, it is necessary to design precise researches to determine correlation of Circadian Rhythm of delivery contractions and body hormones (especially oxytocin).

Abstract:

Background: The Circadian Rhythm regulation plays a crucial role in people`s healthy lives affected by factors consisting of cosmic events related to the universe and earth, environmental factors (light, night and day dura-tion, seasons) and lifestyles. These factors changes lead to disturbance of Circadian Rhythm and it causes increas-ing the incidence of mental diseases like depression and physiological problems like cancers, cardiovascular dis-ease and diabetes. Methods: The present review searched Elsevier, SID, Pub Med, Springer, and Google Scholar databases for relevant articles were published between 1996 and 2017. Keywords used included lifestyle, Circadian Rhythm, cancer, metabolic diseases and cosmic factors. Results: Circadian Rhythm can be affected by lifestyle, heredity, cosmos spin and seasonal factors. Two first factors have physically direct effects on Circadian Rhythm and health, while other factors influence on them men-tally. After all, all of them lead to cancer, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic obesity. Conclusion: Although environmental factors are universal events which are unrelated to human control but affect human`s body and Circadian Rhythm. Other factors are manageable by human to prevent disturbance of Circadian Rhythm making physical disorders.
